How will I help?

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our team! The Group Reporting & Analytics (GR&A) function provides a range of reporting, analytical and data management services for its internal customers and external regulators and is a part of the Group Finance division within Westpac.

Some of your responsibilities would include:
  • Performing regulatory return preparation, analytical review and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve business problems and manage stakeholder priorities and reporting needs.
  • Contribute to uplift and maintain the control environment for regulatory reporting
  • Visualise data, produce assets such as reports and dashboards to communicate complex ideas and extract relevant insights to inform and question the business
  • Respond to queries and fulfill business-as-usual tasks from internal & external stakeholders in a timely manner.

What do I need?
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Services sector.
  • CA, CPA or similar professional accounting qualifications.
  • Ability to link business, accounting and regulatory concepts and translate into specific deliverable documentation usable by regulatory teams.
  • Experience with data visualization using Excel.
  • A solid understanding of the Financial Services in particular regulatory reporting.
  • Experience within Financial Services data risks & controls environment.
  • Intermediate user of analytical tools in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, power query, macros, VBA, etc.)
