Key responsibilities

This role involves a mixture of corporate tax compliance and advisory work, including (but not limited to):

  • Research and assistance with preparing advice and calculations in connection with international tax issues
  • Assist clients with M&A activities, including tax structuring and tax due diligence services
  • Assist clients with ATO reviews, governance matters and audits, as well as liaising with the ATO to obtain rulings for clients
  • Research and analysis of technical tax issues and preparation of tax reports
  • Preparation of company and trust tax returns, including consolidated company tax returns, for a wide range of large corporate clients
  • Preparation and review of tax-effect accounting calculations
  • Assistance with business development initiatives and proposals, including preparing for and attending meetings with clients

Skills & experience

  • Hold or studying towards a professional qualification such as CA, CTA or other relevant qualification
  • A self-starter keen to develop an understanding of client needs and "figure out the why"
  • Experience working in corporate tax, either within a commercial or professional services environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in their clients
  • Interest in a career of lifelong learning with a focus on developing your knowledge and skills in corporate tax advisory

The salary range for this role will be AUD $75,000 to $85,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation - dependant on relevant years of experience and qualifications.
