ROLE PROFILE:

The Data Governance Authority Lead will help to drive the implementation of the Data Trust" multi-year transformation programme within the Data Governance office of LSEG's Data & Analytics (D&A) division. The Data Trust programme is committed to discovering, creating and delivering value from our data on multiple levels.

ROLE SUMMARY:
• The Data Governance Authority Lead will report to the Head of Data Trust Controls. The Data Trust Controls workstream will implement data policy within the Data Trust programme and will be responsible for implementing and leading BAU implementation of Data Trust controls for the D&A division.
• The Data Governance Authority Lead will collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards, Data Governance Leads, Digital Rights Management and Central Policy teams to ensure that data and associated processes and products conform to the D&A Data Sharing policy standard.
• The Data Governance Authority Lead will coordinate with other policy conformance groups such as Regulatory, Data Sovereignty and Privacy to ensure a complete, accurate and timely assessment of compliance to data policy.
• The successful candidate will have experience of data policy implementation. This will include an awareness of the modelling and identification and tracking of Authoritative Data Sources and implementation of Data Sharing Agreements to help drive the management of commercial data and the contractual rights associated with those types of data sets
• The successful candidate will need to apply a detailed risk and controls focused mindset, ideally showing an awareness of data governance frameworks and third-party rights management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Understanding of Data Governance is essential
• Awareness of third party rights management and data privacy is desirable but not essential
• Risk focused mindset with keen attention to detail and ability to challenge stakeholders to follow central processes is required
• Strong understanding of industry trends relating to safe data sharing principles in relation to use of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models is required
• Communication skills and a highly collaborative nature / ability to work across teams, bringing stakeholders together and influencing, is necessary to manage successful outcomes across the broad range of partners to the Data Trust Programme
• Ability to drive compliance and governance requests to completion is essential
