The Mid-Corporate Services Industry Analyst & Associate Group Manager will support the overall project management and strategic activities of both the Mid-Corp Business & Professional Services and Mid-Corp Non-Bank Financial Institutions business lines and the management of all analysts and associates supporting the industries (~10-15 direct reports). This position will report directly to the CCB NAM Head of Mid-Corp Business and Professional Services with a matrix report into the Head of Mid-Corp Non-Bank Financial Institutions.

Tasks include full management responsibility for analysts and associates in partnership with program management including management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations where appropriate. Responsible for working closely with CLM to ensure that analysts are assigned to all credit clients and that the analysts partner with CLM COs in the preparation of all required credit memos. Maintain ongoing partnership with CLM industry leads to arrange regular portfolio reviews and other industry-related credit needs and activities. Includes project activities such as strategic projects, coordination of industry and business initiatives, tracking of business financials, oversee and ensure completion of business reviews and industry communications, data tracking and dissemination, sales management discipline initiatives, and other ad hoc projects as necessary. Leads and directs a team of analysts and associates. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within CCB and particularly coverage and credit and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.

  • Staffer and development responsibilities for the analyst and associate cohorts within the industry they support to include teaching, coaching, training, career guidance, mentoring, and performance management activities; managing workflow and portfolio assignments in close coordination with CLM and Regional Team Leads/Subsector Heads, and Industry Head
  • Coordinate efforts amongst other industry verticals and HR program management as needed to achieve consistency and operational efficiency objectives and will also control and streamline processes for better comprehensive development experience
  • Drive administrative, operational, reporting, and quality improvements through partnership with internal teams
  • Provide oversight and help in preparation of the industry business reviews and updates, and other reporting processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
  • 7-10 years of experience in Commercial/Corporate Banking in a setting with multiple stakeholders
  • Credit Officer designation level minimum CO2
  • Leading, coaching, training, mentoring experience and skillsets
  • Commercial coverage and credit experience, knowledge, and skillsets
  • Strong product knowledge of all CCB offered products
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission oriented, and self-directed
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management
  • Strategic and goal-oriented thinker
  • Effective interpersonal skills - including teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
    Detail oriented, ability to multi-task.
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
