Your new role
As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Here's what you'll be responsible for:
  • Journals and Reconciliations: Handle all aspects of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and disposals.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • BAS and GST Reporting: Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Statutory Accounts: Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller on statutory accounts preparation.
  • Audit Preparation: Support audit processes and liaise with auditors.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to reviewing and enhancing financial systems and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
We're seeking someone who can take ownership of their role and drive results. You will bring an ability to analyse financial data and identify areas for improvement whilst working closely with the Financial Controller and other team members. You will have experience working as a Financial Accountant and will also be CA or CPA qualified. The successful candidate should also be tech-savvy, able to learn new systems quickly and be willing and able to get involved in system and process improvements.
