The Accounting Manager is a key role that manages the company's accounting processes, overseeing Procurement to Payment, Order to Cash, Inventory and Supply Chain cost accounting activities. This position demonstrates business acumen and brings finance leadership to the broader organization, performing a variety of complex accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources, and to support daily business operation and financial decisions by senior management. This position plays a key role in shaping the company's accounting methods, priorities and policies, and is concerned with efficiency, compliance and internal controls. Accounting Manager will report to the Accounting & Reporting Finance Manager, who is based in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the standardization of China daily financial operations related to Procurement to Payment, Order to Cash, Inventory and Supply Chain cost accounting, and by leading a team in future.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rectify any situation and ensure smooth operation process and continual improvement.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing for China Accounts Receivable, Inventory cost accounting and support global team for China Accounts Payable, assessing accuracy of accounting data and ensuring the timelines meet established departmental and corporate requirements.
  • Prepare for Accounts Receivable and Inventory account reconciliations, and work with Accounting & Reporting Finance Manager to drill down Balance Sheet and Income Statement variance and explanation.
  • Work with the Finance BP on trade and marketing operation activities and to drive on AR billing ratios and follow up critical collections. Responsible for cash flow management.
  • Responsible for a robust internal control environment. Assess and document processes, maintaining procedure documentation for complex financial and accounting issues, including researching and preparing accounting issues position papers.
  • Drive process efficiencies through automation, simplification, and standardization. Collaborate to ensure root-cause focused solutions are implemented in times of process or task breakdowns.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure impacts of decisions are thought out and business impacts are minimized.
  • Keep the Finance team managers updated with potential impacts to the business.
  • Keep the team motivated and continually learning to support the need for process efficiencies, to understand risks and make the call outs to further decrease exposure.
  • Assist with the preparation of ad hoc reports, financial reviews, statutory auditing, and special projects as directed by the leadership team.
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of the Company's financial records.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business-related fields. CPA or post-graduate professional degree (CPA, CIMA, MBA, etc.) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance operation positions.
  • Experience in the areas of business operation, business transformation, organizational effectiveness, internal control, and business process improvement. System implementation experience in the past is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ownership, hands on, multi-tasks ability and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, with a high level of proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills, with accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
  • Self-directed, with demonstrated initiative and ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism with ability to work successfully both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to respect and maintain matters of a confidential nature, including information regarding monetary transactions.
