The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join us on a 6-month basis to initially assist with Same Day Tax Refunds (SDTR) (June - September) as well as to provide accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients, across a broad range of industries. T his role is temporary, but there's potential for it to transition into a permanent position.

This is a maximum term position commencing from June 2024.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the primary preparer of personal Income Tax Returns.
  • Maintaining compliance with internal and external regulative bodies adhering to Tax Agent requirements.
  • Guiding clients through their tax returns using expertise and a keen eye for detail, in order to legitimately minimise tax positions (and maximise refunds).
  • Consistently provide quality accountancy services with efficiency and accuracy to a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for family groups including individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
  • Completion of other compliance needs for clients including Business Activity Statements

Key Skills:
  • Previous experience preparing tax returns within a similar accounting role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, familiar with working with a diverse range of clients.
  • Have the ability to work both unsupervised and with-in a team, to achieve the best outcome for clients.
