ABOUT THE ROLE - MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Compliance you will take the lead in financial reporting and be responsible for driving excellence in our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare annual and half-yearly consolidated financial statements and subsidiary accounts.
  • Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely closure of the general ledger.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors for timely lodgement of tax returns.
  • Act as a key contact for internal and external audits.
  • Drive relationships with offshore management service companies.
  • Ensure integrity of our accounting system and assist with insurance renewals.

Technical skills needed
  • Business or Accounting degree, preferably CA qualified or similar
  • Familiarity with IFRS and IPSAS standards
  • working knowledge of tax requirements.
  • relevant post-qualification experience in financial accounting
  • Experience with Netsuite or similar accounting systems
