What you will do:

  • Responsible for reviewing and maintaining sophisticated financial models and generating analysis for business opportunities including VCO initiatives, customer contracting/recontacting, organic growth, system expansions, key regulatory initiatives, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Support development of asset level strategies to increase enterprise EBITDA.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationship with Business Development, Commercial, Corporate Development, Regulatory, Finance, Fundamentals and other relevant functions to ensure that project models and related analysis accurately reflect the nature of proposed investment.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance business opportunities, identify risks and opportunities associated with actions, provide input and analysis to support recommendations made by senior members of the team, and increase likelihood of deal success.
  • Support management and LP’s long-term strategy and key regulatory initiatives by providing financial foresight, regulatory knowledge and expertise in financial modelling.
  • Clearly and independently articulate the financial impacts of opportunities under different market scenarios, to a diverse group of partners with varying levels of financial literacy.
  • Prepare and provide support for materials to be submitted to senior management (or Board) to support capital allocation and other commercial decisions.
  • The role requires a combination of strong financial foresight and analytical capability, organizational skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Understanding of financial implications of various regulatory structures and options.
  • Strong communication skills are a must, including the ability to communicate sophisticated financial matters in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal.



Who you are:

You have:

  • Related professional designations or education (CFA, CPA, or MBA) and/or a combination of 10+ years of directly related prior work experiences.
  • Expertise level knowledge of financial valuation and modelling is a must.

You Can:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, ability to succinctly explain sophisticated financial issues.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an attention for detail.

You are:

  • Collaborative, strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to offer ideas and adapt to changing processes.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to lead several project deadlines concurrently, with high level of personal and professional integrity.


The following are considered assets:

  • Familiarity with North America regulatory constructs and midstream business models an asset.


Working Conditions:

  • Located in Calgary with limited travel required.
  • High degree of connectivity and vital coordination with other functional departments, business units and departments across multiple office locations.
  • Priority is the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to partners.
  • Continual change in scope and complexity of operations and requirements.
  • Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.
