The Asset Servicing Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness.

The Asset Servicing Lead Analyst role is within ICG Custody Operations. Asset Servicing is represented Globally across the NAM, LATAM, EMEA and APAC regions. The Asset Servicing department is an integral part of the ICG O&T division and has responsibility for processing Corporate Actions, Income, Event Capture and Proxy events. It is one of the highest risk areas within operations.
The role requires the individual to have extensive SME knowledge in Asset Servicing inclusive of controls and proactive risk management practices. Proven track record in implementing systemic Asset Services risk management and oversight controls essential. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally and externally, often at a senior level. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions and generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the execution of Global Simplification and Standardization systemic strategy, driving consistency across global processes and controls within the group, aligning to the Asset Servicing, Custody Ops and Company strategy and vision.

Organisational Risk Oversight:
  • Key contributor to the execution of simplification and standardization across global processes and controls
  • Identify underlying root cause to drive risk reduction and proactive risk management
  • Demonstrates ability to offer solutions at an advanced level
  • Recommends and implements systems and procedural enhancements for Asset Servicing
  • Provide operational requirements to Operational Readiness and Technology for delivery
  • Execution of UAT SME scenarios and prod parallel testing
  • Execute risk reduction initiatives and proactive risk management tools including but not limited to executive dashboards, workflow and exception management in partnership with Asset Servicing Senior Simplification and Standardization Manager, Custody Ops Transformation team and Regional Asset Servicing Heads
  • Document and execute the standards and best practices for Global Asset Servicing processes and controls. Identify any gaps, assess approach to close and execute remediation to achieve global consistency
  • Supports deep dive SME process and control reviews inclusive of requirement input.
  • Support any ORM process and control reviews partnering with risk & control, product and technology
  • Execute on process and control enhancements identified by process re-engineering and deep dives
  • Partner with BAU processing leads to drive the execution of the global simplification strategy.

  • Contribute to the execution of the People and Engagement strategy.
  • Lead and co-ordinate change following VOE results.
  • Establish and contribute to Global Training Framework. Adhere to Training approach for new starts with training modules and training plans. Ensure an efficient training structure is in place.

  • Driving and supporting the delivery of strategic platform re-engineering initiatives, reducing manual touch points. Ensuring operational teams are ready to support following new releases and control environments remain strong.
  • Supporting the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve Straight Through Processing (STP) rates and productivity, including the use of robotics, workflow and other innovative re-engineering techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Asset Servicing operational experience
  • Subject matter expert
  • Ability to complete analysis and documentation of complex issues, structure potential solutions, and drive to resolution in partnership with Custody Ops Transformation; Regional Asset Servicing Heads and Technology stakeholders.
  • Track record of managing work to achieve milestones on time
  • Ability to exhibit strong and influential communication skills with a senior level audience (internally/externally).
  • Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and industry standard project management tools.
  • Bachelor's/University degree preferred.
