The business has been founded with a focus on finance, with its two founders being qualified accountants. This focus has infused into the company culture, with almost half of its 40 employees starting their careers in senior finance professions. The business has recently expanded its services with the establishment of their consulting arm, a finance automation consulting business. The firm supports organisations in their decision-making processes, focussed on designing fit-for-purpose ERP solutions ahead of the physical implementation.

Numerous ERP implementations fail due to rushed and poorly planned requirements gathering, as well as suboptimal system selection. They will accurately navigate the selection and planning process of an ERP. This is a pivotal step in the decision-making cycle that, when executed correctly, can streamline operations, enhance data accuracy and visibility, yield cost savings, and improve overall business efficiency. This ensures a solid foundation for ERP implementation for its customers through its meticulous requirements gathering and solution-focused services.

The business is well covered for technical presales experience; however, they are seeking to enhance their sales team with a new business-focused hire with a Finance / Accounting background. In this position, they require an experienced ERP sales professional who can support in two key areas. Firstly, to be responsible for cultivating a pipeline of new business, involving outreach to pre-ERP selected businesses with direct engagement with CFOs. Secondly, to act as an account manager, collaborating with existing customers to aid in road mapping and process preparation.

The ideal candidate for this Sales Consultant position will have a background in finance / accounting, and have transitioned into sales or ERP sales. Starting your career in finance demonstrates a strong understanding of financial processes, enabling you to better assist and comprehend the challenges faced by customers.

  • 1-5 years of experience in ERP sales, focusing on selling to CFOs
  • Previous experience as an Accountant / Finance professional
  • understanding of private equity or venture capital backed markets / value creation cycle
  • NetSuite experience, either in sales or with physical product exposure (nice to have)
