About the Role
Currently, we are looking for a full-time ambitious Accounting Manager to join our team. You will work closely with clients across various industries providing oversight and review of financial reporting, compliance, and driving process improvements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a group of clients across multiple industries for their tax and advisory needs.
- Support, coach, and mentor less experienced team members
- Assist Partners in setting KPIs (Financial, Non-Financial, and PD) for business unit
- Identify areas for improvement within TNM and communicate appropriate improvement efforts to Partners.
- Input and focus on business development activities for a business unit
- Adequately manage a key division of the business and drive business improvement efforts for this division while communicating appropriately to team members and Partners
- Skilfully manage relationships with a portfolio of key clients
- Effectively plan and manage future workflow requirements personally and for the team
- Accurately scope jobs and provide detailed advice representing the client journey while assessing the importance of tasks to prioritize, and delegate work.
- Consistently complete jobs under budget while identifying opportunities to add value to the client
- Identification of opportunities to increase the value of the client to TNM
- Accurately and skilfully finalize financial statements and income tax returns
- Review TNM outputs including tax planning reports, investment strategy documents, property reports
- Evaluate client accounting systems and suggest improvements to generate TNM and client efficiencies

Pre-requisites:
- At least 5 years experience as an accountant
- At least 1 year experience as an Accounting Manager
- Advanced knowledge of income tax, GST, and accounting standards
- Tax planning including structuring & restructuring, small business CGT concessions, Div 7a, FBT, Margin Scheme, PSI/PSB rules, Compliance risks
- Business advisory including KPI programs, business plans, budgets and forecasting, business improvement efforts, business operational advice, sales and marketing strategies, and risk mitigation.
- State law and corporation law
- Experienced with Xero
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
