The opportunity

The EY Parthenon Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E) team provides a full range of IT and Operations advice to corporate and private equity clients who intend to acquire, divest, or restructure businesses. Our services cover M&A Integration, Carve-Out, Operational and IT Due Diligence, Value Creation and Operational Restructuring. The team comprises advisors with specialist operations, IT and deal / transaction experience from industry, advisory and audit backgrounds. 

We are seeking to expand our team with IT consultants who work across a range of sectors. As a Manager in our team, you'll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions, use your experience and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle; including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and corporate carve-outs & integrations. Your key responsibilities
  • You will work on projects that span the entire lifecycle of a transaction, from technology due-diligence, IT carve-out and integration planning, day-1 readiness and IT exit readiness
  • You will lead projects developing IT strategies in the context of performance improvement initiatives or value creation plans
  • You will effectively link business strategy and technology, define recommendations, impact and actionable plans
  • As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for project management including commercials and risk, client relationship and thought leadership in your area of expertise
  • You will develop excellent client relationships with senior clients and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products
  • You will lead business development activities including answering to proposal requests, upselling on existing engagements, opening up new relationships and manage / attend pursuit meetings with clients to sell work
  • You will lead practice development initiatives, supporting the continued focus on our team as a great place to work
  • You would act as a role model and develop junior team members, coupled with the recruitment and training responsibilities.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Applicable industry and/or consulting experience related to transactions, M&A or IT strategy and transformation projects
  • Have a broad range of IT experience including, infrastructure, applications, databases and networks or a deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function
  • Program and project management expertise and a familiarity with industry standards such as e.g., ITIL or TOGAF
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • A track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing project team members and vendors
  • Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers.
  • Experience in supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a large-scale consulting environment
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Bachelor's degree and approximately 12 years of related work experience; or a Master's/MBA degree and approximately 9 years of related work experience
  • A degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science or related field
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and German / French
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
