Great opportunity for C# OR Python Quant Developers - to make the step across into a Hedge Fund perhaps for the first time?

New York - Permanent/Hybrid - 3 days p/w in the office (midtown)

OTE $300-350,000 first year total comp (for the right individual/s)

Fantastic permanent career opportunity for someone who is already working in the front-office for another buyside firm or is working on trading systems for an investment bank and looking to make the step across into the (potentially more lucrative) world of quant development at a hedge fund (perhaps for the first time)

Working in a much larger global team and whilst will initially be a sole contributor in NYC, but for the right individual (& only if it appeals) there will be plenty of opportunity to lead in the future if you succeed, then our client will look to build a small team around you, in the medium-longer term.....

Essential Skills
  • Our client is happy to look at EITHER python OR C# (no preference) however it is essential that you are keen to learn the other as likely that the successful applicant will spend most of their time using python as part of the QD team. So (for example if you are more C# focused then you will be cross-trained onto python (and/or vice-versa)
  • Front office trading exposure to at least one Portfolio Management System (PMS) or have knowledge of one of them. This is because one of the main responsibilities would be to help support the chosen PMS (Orchestrade) from the US if there is any issue. Could suit someone with Charles River (CRD) or similar as this is also written in C#
