We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate , Accounting to join our Accounting Team. This role is located in Pune - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
1. Supports a standard legal entity, line of business, country, region for accounting process, as assigned.
2. Contributes to the completion of numerous activities from start to close, including standard accounting activities. Assists with end to end accounting processes and research required to transform data into information for reporting purposes.
3. Activities may include processing standard general ledger events and transactions, assisting with continuous improvement activities such as the identification and analysis of exceptions, providing support for audits and completing assigned tasks to support the maintenance of the control environment.
4. May complete special project activities, as assigned. Contributes to the completion of journal entries. With guidance, performs reconciliations of general ledger accounts or other financial data. Identifies and escalates issues, as needed.
5. May review journal entries and/or reconciliations completed by less experienced professionals. Participates in assignments across lines of business, legal entities and geographies that have an impact on internal reporting, accounting and accounting processes.
6. Contributes to the identification and reporting of risks, patterns or recurring issues. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of the assigned line of business, country, region or accounting process' objectives.
7. Excellent understating of P&L and B/S of Banking industry. Good Knowledge of Accounting standard.
Bachelor's degree in accounting and Qualified Accountant (CA or CMA) with a work experience of 4-5 years. Or Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience of 10-12 years.
knowledge of GAAP and accounting and finance concepts and analysis techniques preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Confident and calm demeanor with ability to perform under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
