This role provides strong technical production support in the back office (Operations Technology) division that hosts Reconciliations Application. Reconciliation instances consist of CORE Reconciliations (Nostro/Depot, NonCore and Internal Reconciliations in SWISS Region.

This role & responsibilities include:
  • Provide timely and efficient IT support for Reconciliation Application.
  • Proactively seek to minimize potential application support problems through root cause analysis and monitoring.
  • Understand and debug the logs and where required source code to find bugs and issues to be fixed.
  • Act as a liaison between Business Users and various IT teams (App Development, Infrastructure etc. including Reconciliation's product vendor) on all support related queries.
  • Provide onsite and remote users support for multiple reconciliations instances and off hours support including weekend on rotation.
  • Maintain effective communication to the internal/external clients to understand their application related issues/queries/problems.
  • Acquire knowledge on the CS reconciliation Processes, document the same where does not exist and train the peers. Build knowledge within team.
  • Driving initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of support processes. Participate in the improvement plans with respect to batches, alerts, and support processes.
  • Handling of business/IT communication in case of a major outage incident and coordination with Business Operations, Client Money Teams, and other line users.
  • Managing active and open incidents to ensure proper final resolution or workaround.

Production Support is an essential function within the bank. The Ops Tech production support team provides effective structured technical support for multiple back-office applications. We are responsible for problem solving and root cause analysis for production issues. Support works closely with the application users, third party vendors, infrastructure teams, and other Credit Suisse groups to provide an optimal level of support.

Your skills and experience
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Minimum eight plus years of IT experience in supporting Reconciliation applications in financial industry or equivalent organizations domain.
  • Hands-on strong technical understanding of reconciliation products Gresham CTC/IntelliMatch/TLM.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation concepts and skills in validating swift data quality issues, processing of nostro and depot statements.
  • Capable of contributing to major incidents, plan recovery and communication to business and IT mgmt.
  • Ability to identify the problematic areas in reconciliations leading to application instability and driving initiatives to improve them in coordination with Development and business teams.
  • Ability to debug/customize python code / Unix shell scripts etc. specially from the perspective of monitoring improvement and automation.
  • Linux/Unix troubleshooting skills knowledge (checking logs, processes, perform system health checks, etc).
  • DB knowledge [in technologies like Oracle, Sybase IQ, MS SQL] (hands on experience)
