An opportunity has arisen to appoint an interim Project Manager to support the work of the newly formed Workplace Solutions Team.

The Workplace Solutions team reports into Finance and is responsible for the effective delivery of Facilities Management (FM), Asset Management and Lifecycle Planning across the property portfolio which includes a head office in London (Stratford), and regional offices in Edinburgh and Leeds.

The function is constantly seeking to improve performance as appropriate to deliver increased value and service resilience.

We are looking for somebody who can demonstrate extensive experience of managing facilities projects from inception to delivery. Current priorities include a major building restack, the expansion of space within the regional offices, a review of all Audio Visual (AV) services and the upgrade of security provisions across all buildings.

What you will be doing (the role)

Oversee the evolution of the current Workplace Solutions project strategy including planning for future requirements based on demand and ways of working to enhance the working experience for FCA staff

Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to establish a robust and compliant Project Management process to ensure that the requirements and expectations of all stakeholders are achieved, supported by a Risk Register

Develop an annual project plan and budget to include an assessment of potential projects with full supporting documentation, including detailed Business Cases and realistic cost models to demonstrate the ability to deliver within requirements, timelines and budgets

Ensure compliance with all FCA Health & Safety processes, all statutory/mandatory requirements including Building Regulations, Construction Design and Management (CDM), method statements, risk assessments and site inspections. Build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost effective solutions which meet our quality expectations

Oversee the financial management of all project suppliers and contractors, including the raising of POs and the processing of invoices within the Finance policy; track projected spend via monthly reporting

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum

Demonstrable evidence of delivering operational projects within a Facilities working environment

Proven experience of managing a portfolio of FM projects from inception to delivery with full financial control, ensuring that any issues are escalated to the relevant place within the structure

Industry recognised project management qualification and experience, with a track record of successful delivery

Essential

A good working knowledge of building regulations and CDM guidelines

An understanding of operational facilities management to appreciate the importance of delivering key projects without impacting service delivery

A good knowledge of health and safety management in respect of project delivery

Strong organisational capabilities in respect of project management documentation and activity tracking

Self-assured, assertive, and able to influence and challenge stakeholders with strength and credibility

Accurate and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to operate unassisted under broad direction, understand organisational objectives and set direction

Numerate, analytical and able to develop, create and interpret management information

Critical thinker with ability to evaluate information to make judgements and recommendations
