Placement and DurationThe Finance Analyst Program offers an intensive hands-on introduction to Finance at Morgan Stanley. The Analyst will be rotating across teams during the first 2 years and work on a range of projects.

Training Program
The Finance Analyst program includes a Firmwide orientation to Morgan Stanley's businesses and tailored training. Your training will continue throughout the program with a blended approach of structured learning and on-the-job training. You will have many opportunities to interact with peers from other Morgan Stanley divisions and senior colleagues through a series of networking, social, charity and mentoring events.

As a Finance Analyst, you will be placed into either the Institutional Securities Group Finance, Global Corporate Controller or other Finance areas as available in each respective year. Team placement will be determined based on a mutual fit, taking into consideration your interest and skill set, and management decision.
  • Work collaboratively in a high performing team to ensure the integrity of MS books and records
  • Provides management reporting and analytics to the business management teams - incl. budgeting, forecasting and profitability reports
  • Calculating and reviewing the daily profit and loss (P&L) tallies of traders
  • Writing market commentaries for management reports
  • Preparing monthly financial management and regulatory reports
  • Conducting re-engineering projects to review and enhance processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, controls and policies

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements
  • You are an undergraduate in your final year of study and will graduate before July 2024, or you hold a Bachelor's Degree with less than 1 year of prior professional work experience since graduation
  • You have strong academic achievements
  • You have strong technical, quantitative and project management skills
  • You are a team player and excellent communicator
