We have more than 35 years of experience serving both institutional and individual clients across the US and are looking to add a top-quality individual to our team in Edmonds, Washington.

We are looking for a motivated, multi-tasking Research Associate to support ZCI’s Portfolio Management team. This role will work alongside our firm’s Portfolio Managers conducting fundamental company and industry research, participating in portfolio recommendations, providing support associated with systems, tools, and information resources used in the firm’s investment process, and developing both creative and technical written content regarding portfolio holdings and the firm’s investment decisions to be shared within the firm and with clients. • Help coordinate broker research coverage for the investment team, ensuring access to relevant sell-side research and managing analyst meetings and scheduling.
  • Attend industry events and research conferences, and engage with corporate management teams, sell-side analysts, and various stakeholders to build knowledge about companies and industries.
  • Complete ad-hoc research projects assigned by the firm's Portfolio Managers.

  • Advanced understanding of financial, statistics, economic, and accounting concepts, ability to read and analyze financial statements, develop forecasts, and evaluate company fundamentals and business plans.
  • Passion for continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Check ego at the door; work well in a collaborative team environment and be willing to assist colleagues in areas outside of core responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the right level of confidence to present and promote ideas at all levels of the organization and with those outside the firm.
  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills, resourceful and inquisitive, analytical problem solver; ability to work independently or with a team to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ethical and trustworthy individual who can handle and protect highly confidential/sensitive information.
