On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Quantitative Analyst on a hybrid basis between home and the London Office. This is an initial 3 month contract; the client will be hiring for a very similar role on a permanent basis in 2024. This role would stand you in good stead should you wish to apply for a permanent position afterwards.

Purpose of the Role:

M&G Sustainability and Stewardship team is seeking a Quant/Data Analyst with a knack for Python and Excel to join our climate-focused team and assist in projects such as climate metrics generation for TCFD. The ideal candidate will have a preferred background or exposure in science or environmental-related studies. You would:
  • Interpret front-office requests and translate them into functional prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with climate subject matter experts to develop prototype tools, leveraging both qualitative documentation and existing spreadsheets.
  • To meet the above requirements, on a day-to-day basis you will need to debug/develop Python routines/scripts and complex Excel spreadsheets.

What we require from the candidate:
  • Demonstrable experience with Python and Excel as an advanced user. Developer skills preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with climate modelling tools is a plus but not essential.
