Finance Business Partner - with a prestigious Investment management firm

Job Profile Summary: Are you passionate about finance and eager to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic team? Join our Finance Business Partnering team, where you'll collaborate directly with senior business unit and finance stakeholders to drive crucial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of month-end activities, providing insightful management information, and fostering strong relationships across departments.

  • Lead the month-end close process, including accrual postings and variance analysis, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare centralized FBP reports such as the CFO Cost Pack promptly and accurately.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and data consolidation efforts, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Cultivate business partnering skills, advising assigned Business Units and building robust relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in monthly meetings to review PnL AUM and margins, resolving queries and providing actionable insights.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for business stakeholders and support data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to address data quality issues and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Drive enhancements and automation in team systems and processes to improve efficiency and management information quality.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proficient with numerical analysis, demonstrating a natural aptitude for working with numbers.
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts and work independently.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables; willingness to learn new systems.
  • Experience with Power BI is advantageous.
  • Minimum part-qualified in ACA, CIMA, or ACCA; study support available for completion of qualifications.

Pay and other benefits
  • £35-37,000 per annum
