Vontobel Asset Management is a multi-boutique investment firm managing over CHF 100bn of client assets with investment boutiques in New York (Quality Growth Equities), London (24 Asset Management) and Zurich (Fixed Income, Multi Asset, Quantitative Investments and Conviction Equities). As we continue our growth journey, we are looking for a Working Student to drive the engagement for the product range of our domestic clients.

Alongside remarkable international growth, the Swiss domestic market remains the core pillar of our client base and offers attractive growth opportunities. We aim to strengthen the investment solution business for Swiss clients focused on the most important domestic asset classes like Swiss Equities, Swiss & Global Bonds and Multi Asset incl. quantitative strategies. To support this important growth initiative, we are looking to hire a Working Student (40%) to join the team.

The scope of this role is to support sales and client service processes by developing and maintaining sales support material, investment content and client review books across different investment boutiques. In addition, the role interacts closely with the Head of the Investment Solution Team and the client portfolio managers to orchestrate the sales process, from setting sales strategy through to operative sales management. A passion for both, investing and client management, is therefore essential, as is the desire to work with a strong team across Sales and Portfolio Management.

This role is based in Zurich and reports to the Head of Investment Solutions Business.

Responsibilities:
Sales Coordination and Support
• Analysis, quality control and progress management of the Investment Solution's client onboarding using sales-related reporting such as the monthly MIS reports, sales pipeline and sales review presentations
• Review of relationship managers' CRM reporting, quality management for client opportunities
• Support roadshows and investment conference participations in alignment with the overall sales plan
• Acquire in-depth knowledge about the Investment Solution capabilities

Support Business Development and Client Servicing
• Support relationship managers with specific marketing collateral packages, peer insights and sales support material
• Drive process to gain efficiency by automating presentation updates and performance data handling in order to improve and speed-up client service
• Assist in responding to RFPs
• Answering client requests

Requirements:
  • Masters Student (university or FH) in economics or finance-related discipline
  • Work experience in a data management / business development role in the finance sector
  • Structured personality with the ability to work on multiple tasks and to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Exceptional flair for data handling and programming skills required (i.e. VBA and Python)
  • Hands-on problem solver and high service orientation
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written).
