InterQuest are currently recruiting on behalf of a building society for a Head of Prudential Risk to join them on a part-time basis for a minimum of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business units to ensure effective management of prudential risks across the organization.
• Provide oversight and expertise for a treasury project aimed at enhancing our capabilities in managing complex mortgage and savings products.
• Drive compliance with prudential regulations such as ICAAP, ILAAP, and operational risk management.
• Conduct second-line review of regulatory reports including COREP, FINREP, and PRA110.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for prudential risk governance.
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure organizational compliance.
• Contribute to the development of the Society's Recovery and Resolution Plan.
• Draft policies related to regulatory requirements such as MCOBs and Operational Resilience.
• Ensure alignment with organizational quality, health and safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements:
• Previous risk management experience within the financial services sector is essential.
• Certification such as FRM, IRM, CFA, or CISI is advantageous.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Technical expertise in risk and regulatory areas.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
