The team you'll work with:

The UK Financial Crime Governance and Assurance team are responsible for managing, monitoring, and assessing complex Anti Money Laundering (AML) and financial crime issues to ensure HSBC Innovation Banking Ltd. is protected from risk and financial crime. In addition to this, the team also ensure HSBC Innovation Banking adhere to Group requirements and uphold industry standards.

The value you'll add:

Working as part of our wider Risk function, you'll work within a defined team of Financial Crime experts where you'll review existing financial crime policy, as well as keep up to date with changes to legislation that could have future impact for HSBC Innovation Banking. Working alongside Group, you'll be responsible for horizon scanning; ensuring any changes to Group policy are considered, and any implications are applied and communicated accordingly. In addition to your typical BAU portfolio of responsibilities, you'll also be exposed to ad hoc and long-term project work as part of continual improvement process, and transition related activity.

What you can expect to be doing:

Working with the Senior Managers within Governance and Assurance and the UK Money Laundering Report Officer to conduct and report on Financial Crime impact analysis and risk assessment.

Assessing regulatory change to sanctions and reviewing upcoming/ proposed legislative change.

Creating and enhancing financial crime process, policy and procedure documentation for use and adoption across the entire business.

Collaborating with HSBC Innovation Banking Financial Control and HSBC UK to ensure all control requirements are satisfied and Group requirements adhered to.

Ad hoc and BAU project work including but not limited to, target operating model review, transition related activity and Risk Management Framework implementation.

The experience you need:

Existing managerial experience within Financial Crime in a Tier 1 Bank, Financial Services Institution or Fin Tech

Strong experience in writing and reviewing financial crime policies and procedures.

An understanding Tier 1 Financial Crime legislative requirements and industry requirements and best practice requirements

Excellent written skills for report writing and policy enhancement.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to varied stakeholders.
