LoCorr offers a growing family of mutual funds and a hedge fund to a wide network of investment firms. These products include managed futures, long/short equity, long/short commodity, and alternative income offerings. Currently, LoCorr has approximately $3 billion in assets under management across this fund lineup.

Our investment due diligence team is responsible for researching and selecting investment managers for utilization in our funds, overall fund construction, and supporting the sales and marketing efforts at the firm.


The Research Analyst will have a significant impact on the success of the organization and team. This individual will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from conducting investment manager due diligence on alternative investment managers, asset class research, and supporting the sales and marketing efforts of the firm. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, an effective communicator, and able to thrive in a team-based environment while demonstrating a high level of initiative.


  • Play a key role in the team’s investment manager due diligence and oversight process including sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring alternative investment managers across a wide range of strategies including but not limited to systematic macro, discretionary macro, long/short commodity, long/short equity, alternative income, multi-strategy, event driven, options, etc.
  • Perform ad hoc investment research and analysis on capital markets, asset classes including alternative investments, competitor products, etc.
  • Support the firm’s wholesalers and marketing efforts by being a knowledge expert on financial markets, the firm’s products and managers, and relevant strategies. This may include providing analysis of our product offerings and presenting our thoughts both externally and internally 
  • Maintain and develop proprietary databases and analytical tools to enhance the team’s overall research process and analytical capabilities


  • 3 – 7 years of experience in the investment industry
  • Experience in investment manager due diligence or similar analytical role
  • CFA designation or significant progress toward obtaining
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong and effective communicator – oral and written
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • BS or BA in finance, economics, or similar
