ECA Financing is a product offered by Structured & Project Finance team.
ECA Finance originates, structures and executes ECA financing solutions, acting as an integrated team with origination resources across OCBC locations, providing product origination, structuring as well as execution capabilities. The ECA Finance team collaborates with Relationship Managers (RM) which performs transaction monitoring until maturity.
ECA Finance is responsible for developing and advancing relationship with target ECAs, for maintaining internally relevant frameworks, for keeping track of their cover / lending programs and of developments / trends at their end, and ultimately for delivering ECA finance solutions to the corporate clients of OCBC.
Primary focus on marketing/originating, structuring and arranging ECA finance solutions involving target ECAs for the benefit of OCBC clients.
Provide execution support to Relationship Managers (RM) in ECA financing (including ECA-covered project financing)
Regularly engage with existing and prospect ECAs.
Manage the entire credit origination, due diligence and documentation process. This includes the assessment of credit risk and structuring; preparation of credit applications and manage documentation
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (RMs, credit, overseas branches) and take initiatives for improvement of internal efficiency and of strategic development.
Manage external stakeholders (clients, Structured/Export finance banks, advisors) and monitor trends within ECA finance space to update knowledge of the market and its effect on the new business prospects
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Structured/ECA Financing at an international bank or equivalent
Interaction and negotiation with ECAs for approvals, legal formalities.
Knowledge on Environmental & Social (E&S) due diligence process and outputs required by the ECAs.
Experience in coordinating and negotiating legal documentation for ECA-covered finance documents.
Some knowledge on project financing with ability to analyse financial model
