Description
The Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) Reporting and Analytics team is part of the Balance Sheet Insight Center in the Financial Planning & Analysis organization. FTP allocates Net Interest Income (NII) to each business unit based on the nature of their assets and liabilities. The FTP team acts as a primary point of contact between Global Treasury, business leaders and their finance partners worldwide on topics relating to FTP including business unit and product profitability and forecast guidance. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and results-oriented with an understanding of the balance sheet and P&L. The candidate must have a focus on client satisfaction and building partnerships with a cross section of Business, Finance and Treasury staff and managers. The candidate will be involved in benchmark rate transition projects of FTP and methodology changes to be updated in the FTP process of the Bank.

Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding FTP calculation methodology and key impact drivers such as market interest rates, asset and liability duration and balance sheet activity
- Timely and accurate reporting and variance analysis, including actual vs. budget, trends, prior period, and geography for review with finance business partners.
- Internal quality control checks related to monthly actual and forecast production process, including FTP rates, business unit and product profitability. Documentation of procedures and methodologies to improve transparency in FTP modeling and results.
- Follow procedures and maintain existing processes while also proactively identifying areas for enhancement within the funds transfer pricing (FTP) production and reporting processes.
- Report and analyze actual business unit and regional post-FTP NII results and drivers of variance relative to prior period actuals and forecasts.
- Manage ad-hoc requests and business partner expectations to ensure accurate work product can be delivered within agreed upon time frames.
- Promote a culture of risk excellence by challenging assumptions, escalating potential issues, and executing required controls to support oversight and governance requirements.
- Work closely with teammates and Lead Financial Officers (LFOs) within Finance to analyze business unit and regional net interest income (NII) results and support internal analytics and monitoring of performance.
- Apply knowledge/skills handling complex problems and/or coordinating work which may extend beyond own area of expertise, share expertise with colleagues and other departments.
Qualifications:
- 12-15 years in financial services or Treasury experience preferred. Postgraduate in Finance & Accounting/ MBA or CA/CFA preferred.
- Strong analytical & quantitative skills
- Excellent understanding of key financial statements, specifically a bank's balance sheet
- In-depth knowledge of complex financial products and businesses
- Strong understanding of QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) tool
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
