Credit Risk Analyst, Commodities Trading Conglomerate
Description
Are you someone who enjoys balancing the rigors of credit risk and commerciality of commodities trading? This is a leading multi-commodities conglomerate with a significant presence in Asia Pacific. Due to business expansion, there is now a newly created role to join a high calibre credit risk team well versed in commodities trading both physical and paper.
Role
Reporting to the Global Credit Manager, the credit analyst will perform credit and forward looking liquidity analysis on a diverse portfolio of counterparties ranging from large corporates to smaller trading counterparties. He/ She will be performing peer/ industry analysis, credit proposals as well as recommend credit limits. He/ She will also be assisting the Credit Manager by responding to the traders' requests and exposure approvals. He/ She will also be responsible for monitoring the credit exposures against limits and secure appropriate mitigation.
Requirements
The successful applicant would be degree qualified in a business/ finance discipline with at least 2 years' regional counterparty credit experience gained in commodities trading, shipping or banking. Fluency in Mandarin is essential as there will be significant interaction with businesses and counterparts in China. You will also possess strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
