The role of Senior Analyst, part of Corporate Actions - Entitlements requires good understanding of Corporate Actions, capital market and various investment instruments like Equities, Fixed Income Products. Core responsibilities include operations activities for the team and managing/performing the daily Corporate Actions processing activities placing high emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Job Description -
• The role represents an excellent opportunity to understand different types of Corporate Actions products and its importance
• Accounts with a strong focus on Client Confidentiality and Risk regulations which are the operating guidelines for the success of the bank
• The role also encompasses communication with the other partner areas within the bank and stakeholders.
• This role's primary responsibility is to ensure that the parameters relating to Productivity, Completeness and Turnaround time are met, new assignments are assigned and reviews are completed within the SD timeframe, ensure control parameters like checklists, reporting & escalations, exception management are adhered to.
• Develops and evaluates solution while planning and prioritizing client activities to manage relationships, effectively
• Ensures objectives are met within time and risk parameters by establishing team objectives and plans and adapting them as required in response to change or ambiguity
• Be prepared to assist partners within the Corporate Actions team by acting very much hands on if the circumstances demand it.

Principal Responsibilities-
• To ensure all assignments are completed within the SLA timeframe on a daily basis.
• Ensures day to day SLA & Quality parameters are met. Checklists are prepared and submitted to the supervisor on a daily basis.
• Daily actions to be performed in adherence to procedural guidelines per SLA.
• Prioritizing based on defined criticalities & in adherence to all control parameters for self & cluster.
• To identify areas of concern within the team & work towards building improvements.
• Assist TC/TL /Manager in conducting Audits and any other Initiatives such as UAT cycles, attend training sessions, and become familiar with systems to be used for work.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy and timeliness of client deliverables.
• Improve on performance through process improvement and continuous training.
• Implement consistent best practice and monitor the standards.
• Ensures that adequate training/ cross training is provided for all employees.
• Ability to act as a process expert, own and resolve complex queries/issues not only for self but also immediate sub process.
• Assesses areas of risk within the team and establishes control mechanisms to control/monitor risk and respond to regulatory/legislative changes
• Ensures that all metrics & MI are completed regularly.
• Monitor key performance metrics to ensure accuracy and current volumes do not expose Northern Trust to Financial, Regulatory and/or reputational risk.
• Participate in regular meetings to be informed on items relating to the department, global practice as well as enterprise bank wide information.
• Pro-actively communicate the procedure updates to the team. Ensures all DPADs are kept up to date at all times
• Escalate issues timely, which may have a significant impact on client satisfaction with the appropriate sense of urgency.

Skills/ Experience -
• Good written and oral communication skills are required to disseminate information to team

• A client focused approach.
• Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel, Power Point & Word)
• Engage with Internal clients, External counterparties (Agents, Brokers, Sub-Custodians etc.) and other partners across the enterprise to resolve inquiries, incidents and challenges as quickly as possible
• Organises own workload and establishes priorities
• Seeks to develop own skills and capability, takes on other responsibilities/tasks as and when is necessary to ensure team outputs achieved
• Demonstrates willingness to help and others outside team
• Takes care over tasks and demonstrates commitment to producing high quality work and to timeframes required
• Must be resilient to pressure and ability to adapt quickly

• Excellent spoken and written English and the ability to write business correspondence
• Ability to work effectively with TL & Managers within & across teams
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision

Qualification & Experience -
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting & Finance
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, familiarity with financial markets
• Should be flexible for shifts and extended working hours
• 24 months of minimum experience in the current role

Shift-

The position will be for North America shift (6.30 PM-3.30 AM IST)
