Analyst(Fresher)/ Sr Analyst(experience 0-1 Yrs)

Roles/responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth secondary research and offer insights on the sector or companies under coverage for a Buy-side / sell-side engagement.
• The role would require the analyst to conduct in-depth research, formulate opinions and convey the same in a comprehensible manner.
• The candidate would need to develop understanding on various sectors under coverage.
• The work tasks may include conducting financial modelling, comps creation and analysis, developing sector/thematic understanding and research writing, tracking companies and sectors for events, earnings, relevant news on a regular basis and communicate internally and with the client, if required.
• The candidate would be required to maintain high level of quality in all deliverables with minimal-to-zero-intervention required from the manager to ensure output in a client-ready format.
• Regularly communicate with the project manager/client on project updates, work tasks and pipeline and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Contribute to internal knowledge creation, ad-hoc assignments and training and mentoring junior analysts/new joinees on an as-required basis.
• Maintain flexibility to learn new techniques and functionalities and gain exposure to various types of assignments.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in conducting equity research assignments in a sector-agnostic role, including financial modelling, valuations and report writing
• The candidate should have some experience in conducting valuations, assigning price targets, and identifying and elaborating on investment rationale/risks and valuation summary.
• Proficiency in MS-Excel and financial modelling, strong financial and valuation concepts (DCF, relative, SoTP)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to independently handle clients
• Basic knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc
• Strong team player and willingness to learn

CTC Range: 8-10 Lakhs

Education : CFA L3 /L2

Experience : Relevant internship / articleship experience within Equity Research i.e. financial modelling & report writing (preferably sell side). May have some exposure to Global clients (not mandatory).
