Fund Accountant

Company:
A global investment management business provides services including mutual funds, pension management and fund platforms to private and institutional investors who require a Fund Accountant to join their in-house fund accounting team.
Role:
Working in a fund accounting team, the role is focussed around the preparation of annual and interim financial statements for a wide range of OEICs sub-funds and Investment Trusts. Specific tasks include: preparation of interim, annual financial statements and board papers for a range of OEIC sub-funds and Investment Trusts, ownership of specific funds of varying complexity and size, completing regular reviews substantiating material income and expense balances, liaison with external advisors, analysis and review of dividend announcements to ensure correct accounting treatment
Candidate profile:
Candidates must be either part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience-fund accountants with fund statutory reporting experience gained in fund management firms or fund administrators, (TPA's) Fund type experience can include: OEIC's, unit trusts, pension, mutual funds and also UK-based real estate-a strong analytical approach with an aptitude to work independently and solve complex problems, including a strong attention to detail and a numerate mind-set, team player and strong systems skills.
