As a High Yield Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of high yield corporate bonds and related securities to support the investment decision-making process. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in identifying investment opportunities and managing risk within the high yield credit market.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of high yield corporate bonds, assessing credit risk, financial performance, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors influencing the market.
  2. Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the creditworthiness of issuers, including cash flow projections, debt structure analysis, and scenario analysis.
  3. Due Diligence: Perform thorough due diligence on prospective investments, assessing legal documentation, covenants, and terms of issuance.
  4. Market Monitoring: Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic indicators impacting high yield credit markets. Provide insights on market trends and emerging opportunities.
  5. Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed investment recommendations and reports for portfolio managers, highlighting investment theses, risks, and potential returns.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with portfolio management teams, traders, and other internal stakeholders to support investment decision-making and portfolio construction.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or CFA designation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in high yield credit analysis within a financial institution or investment firm.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit metrics, and valuation techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.).
