About The Role

The Client Service Associate performs administrative duties to cultivate and enhance client relationships through active communication to ensure key information and documentation remain current. Additionally, the individual will be able to work in partnership with the financial advice team to produce strategy reports and develop customized financial plans for clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development Support
• Assist with creating and managing new business pipeline
• Researching prospects in new business pipeline
• Assist in obtaining and arranging appointments for prospects
• Help manage the marketing collateral and marketing schedule /calendar
• Create proposals / pitches for new business meetings
• Attend meetings with prospects and financial advice team to help pitch and build relationships with prospects to win new business
• Help build relationships with accountants & lawyers via meetings with financial advice team with ongoing correspondence
• Attend quarterly MS research lunches and marketing events with clients, prospects
• Follow market & macro events, reading MS GIC / Asset Allocation research
• Develop knowledge and learning of the wealth management advice model

Client & Operational Support:
• Facilitates all administrative client queries
• Supports with the onboarding and maintenance of client accounts
• Notifies client/s and financial advice team of any issues, recommending a solution and timeframe
• Works with clients on the execution of orders in Brokerage and Advisory accounts
• Prepares performance reports and other data for clients, that may involve evaluating account performance, analyzing investment portfolio holdings and generating quarterly investment performance monitors
• Develops presentation materials and proposals to assist financial advice team in managing performance measurements on existing accounts
• Designs and produce strategy reports and other types of communications for the financial advice team to use with clients as part of the overall marketing initiative
• Considers opportunities to organize, streamline and enhance the client experience

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Education/ Experience
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent education or experience
• Ideally coming with experience in a business development role from funds/asset management
• RG 146 compliant
• Additional product licenses may be required

Knowledge/ Skills
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and relationship management skills
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Expertise in Australian and global securities markets
• Knowledge of Australian and US securities regulations and compliance requirements
