An excellent opportunity with this Global developer who have a track record of prestigious mega developments, focusing on cutting edge construction techniques and sustainability.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will manage project procurement for services and works, to ensure compliance with company procedures across all project procurement activities, whilst managing and tracking internal approvals. You will also assist the cost team with on-going management of professional fees and tracking of expenditure.

Summary of duties:

  • To manage the cost and procurement activities across the portfolio
  • Ensure Project Management consultants and the Development team comply with governance guidelines
  • Support with tracking budgets, contractual / committed costs and spend to date
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to Delegations of Authority and to work with Project Finance to ensure correct level of visibility on authorisations
  • Prepare recommendations and board packs for Investment Risk Committee meetings weekly, for board review
  • Manage weekly meetings with project management consultants, ensuring that they cover all of the procurement needs of the project and the relevant trackers are up to date
  • Liaise with project legal advisors post board approval to establish fair contracts with suppliers, ensuring due process is followed and all compliance needs are met
  • Manage internal contracts database and capture/store/maintain/evaluate relevant contract information, ensuring visibility to business
  • Create and administer tender documentation, working closely with externally appointment project managers where required
  • Ensure all procurement activity obeys international laws, is in full compliance with insurance covers and any relevant health and safety policy/legislation; promote procurement best practice throughout the matrix structure and across and JV partners
  • Develop market intelligence and procurement strategy; foster supplier and stakeholder relationships to identify and implement high value return on investments whilst optimising procurement processes and payment solutions
  • To assist Development Managers as required; build robust and lasting relationships with your colleagues, motivating others and encouraging a positive working environment


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project or Construction Management or other relevant discipline
  • 2 - 4 years' experience of Real Estate Development / Construction Management
  • Excellent grammar and punctuality
  • Excellent written communication - shaping communication to the needs of the audience
  • Must be IT literate (conversant with MS Office, Internet and Windows-based computer systems)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Relationship Building - working co‐operatively with stakeholders to identify and meet mutual goals; focusing on building relationships of trust and mutual commitment; representing the organisation in external groups
  • Willing to be proactive and share ideas with a sense of belonging to a team and working for shared good
