Capital Markets Trading is a Chicago based multi-faceted trading, asset management, venture capital and financial services firm, operating across five continents. In the UK, CMT specialises in the management of private investment vehicles, focussing on derivatives trading via exchange and OTC markets.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional recent graduate with a strong interest in the financial markets to join our commodity derivatives team as a Trading Analyst. This is a new, exciting and expanding desk with swift potential for progression to a trading position for the right candidate. The role will present the candidate with very close and direct interaction with Senior Traders.

Responsibilities
  • Trade booking, position management, P&L monitoring and reconciliations
  • Processing daily settlements
  • Problem solving any issues, disputes with counterparties/brokers
  • Continual process improvement and automation
  • Be the point of contact for inter-departmental interactions with various operation areas within CMT

You'll have
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, IT, or other Science related field
  • Strong maths and quantitative skills
  • Strong IT / Excel skills
  • Ability & willingness to invest the time needed to develop in the role
  • High attention to detail, diligent, and conscientious
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Please note that this is a full-time office-based role, located in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire (own transport required). The successful candidate will be expected to work long hours, starting at 630am.
