Main Purpose of this role

Proactive steering of the Corporate Client Lending portfolio through development of strategic agenda to achieve financial targets. Delivery through creation of relevant portfolio analytics, targeted pricing strategies and associated analysis for risk allocation, pro-active identification of distribution strategies, on-going surveillance of portfolio for emerging risks and remediation of unwanted risk positions in line with industry and market best practices

Key activities and key competencies
  • Development of strategies for efficient portfolio allocation, balancing risk contribution with return across areas such as sector, geography, business line and product line in line with industry best practice
  • Identify and simulate impact assessments of strategic activities including changes to pricing, funding, regulatory capital alongside other cost parameters.
  • Support development of meaningful insight through management information for strategic direction of portfolio allocation
  • Analyse and evaluate the loan portfolio to determine appropriate pricing and potential for strategic distribution with recommended options for action.
  • Support Head of Portfolio Strategy with delivery of strategic initiative projects and help develop our platform and infrastructure in line with industry and market best practice.
  • Actively contribute to process optimisation and booking efficiency measures in close collaboration with interfaces including regulatory, operational and compliance related aspects for efficient capital consumption
  • Develop collaborative relationships with other units within Corporate Client lending and across Corporate Clients including Sales Management Business Control, the IT delivery organisation, Group Risk Management and Group Finance
  • Support wider Corporate Lending team and management to achieve financial and other assigned targets on CC Lending loan portfolio in line with MYP.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned including project related work.

Key Requirements (Work Experience/Formal Education)

General:
  • Understanding of credit, credit risk and associated capital markets products
  • Understanding of Portfolio Management techniques
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills
  • Experience in regulatory and accounting topics particularly Basel, CRR and IFRS
  • Experience with Python, Access, SQL, Aqua Data Studio and managing 'Big Data'
  • German language skills (preferred)

Education/Certifications:
  • University degree or comparable vocational education / training
  • CFA certification preferred.

Work Experience:

5 to 7 years work experience in Loan Origination, Credit Portfolio Management, Risk Management or relevant comparable areas (eg Accountancy, Financial Services Consulting).
