We are looking to hire a senior finance professional within our Belgium office to join our Finance team. This Brussels based team is responsible for the integrity and delivery of local financial information; local credit control activities and all business financial, management, fiscal and BEGAAP regulatory reporting activities.

Your New Role

• Contribute to the functioning of the team.
• Collaborate in the production of executive management reports, fiscal, statutory and BEGAAP regulatory returns and Group finance reports in line with specified timescales, thereby ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Contribute to the maintenance and elaboration of financial controls.
• Develop and implement strong analytical and financial insight, and commentary, across all reporting responsibilities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a regular communication framework with finance colleagues from the various branches of QBE Europe SA/NV
• Support the development of financial systems and procedures to meet current and future financial accounting and reporting requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with peers across QBE, as appropriate to ensure consistency, transfer of knowledge and promotion of best practice.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to understand their issues and determine their requirements.

About You

• Fluent in Dutch or French with good knowledge of English Language
• Master's degree in Economical or Commercial Sciences or similar by experience
• Experience of delivering strong analytical and business performance insight to senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of the current statutory, legal and regulatory requirements applying to the Insurance industry
• Awareness of best practices for financial management and reporting
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to network and influence at all levels.
