About the Role

Responsible for delivering quality service, effective output in performance, strategic actuarial initiatives, and unfold team capacity to upper level.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team to deliver timely and high quality deliverables related to EV and VONB reporting.
    • Ensure timely and correctness of results as prepared by the team on the valuation and business projection process and other duties/special projects related to financial reporting & budget
    • Ensure the compliance of various financial reporting requirements from group office and regulators
  • Lead the technical discussions and enhance analytics framework to provide insights on the financial results
  • Drive continuous improvement in system, process and approach to automate and streamline reporting process to facilitate faster closing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external working partners to ensure smooth EV / VONB reporting process
  • Knowledge sharing with other team members
  • Support other actuarial projects as required by performing financial projections and profitability analysis for annual and ad hoc exercise
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • University / College graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics or related subject with at least 7 years' experience in life insurance industry.
  • Fellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional body
  • Sound analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with and handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience and knowledge in insurance product and actuarial reporting work. Knowledge in HKRBC basis is an asset.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software, e.g. Prophet is an advantage
