We are currently seeking to recruit a Fixed Income Credit Analyst (Analyst) to join our Investment Grade (IG) Credit Research team, located in London. Coverage responsibilities will be contingent on experience, with a general focus on non-Financial issuers. Prior experience covering regional and global investment grade sectors/credits is desired, as is strong working knowledge and ability to integrate material ESG factors into fundamental research. As an active member of the IG team, the Analyst will be fully involved in the investment process, and will be expected to provide investment recommendations which add value to client portfolios, as well as to help shape portfolio management decisions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for investing, specific experience and interest in credit markets, will embrace fiduciary responsibilities, and will possess a flexible mindset with the desire to learn/grow in a team setting. In addition, they will be expected to interact and collaborate regularly with other investment professionals at the firm, including other Analysts in Fixed Income, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Macro Analysts, ESG Analysts, and Equity Analysts.

Essential Skills

Investment acumen and passion --- we are seeking a Credit Analyst who is passionate about markets, research, and investing in fixed income. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a quantitative orientation. Additionally, the ability to make investment decisions which are supported by rigorous analysis, often with incomplete information, and communicated with strong conviction, is required. Experience of analyzing securities across the capital structure would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Superior collaboration and influencing skills --- the successful candidate will enjoy contributing to a highly collaborative investment environment, and will embrace the benefits of overlapping lines of idea generation. They will build strong, trusting relationships internally with colleagues, and externally with company management teams. The ability to provide a point of view and challenge the status quo is critical, as is the humility to admit mistakes, and a desire to learn from others. The Analyst must recognize the benefits of diverse perspectives. The ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) action-oriented investment recommendations clearly is important, as is the ability and willingness to contribute to a broad, open investment dialogue.

Intellectual curiosity, capacity for differentiated thinking, and a growth mindset --- the flexibility and openness to continue learning, evolving and growing as an investor is critical. The Analyst will have a global perspective, and a creative approach for thinking about innovation, and the evolution of investing.

The successful candidate will be an Analyst with fundamental research skills, and a formal credit training background. In addition, they will be intellectually curious, analytically and quantitatively rigorous, and will thrive in a highly collaborative environment which fosters rich investment dialogue, debates, and insights from diverse perspectives.

Additionally, the ideal candidate is likely to:

* Have a strong academic background;

* Have approximately 5 years of relevant credit research experience, ideally including experience in developing and implementing value-added investment recommendations;

* Have a keen interest in relating the credit risk of covered credits to those of other sectors, and placing them in a relative value framework;

* Have the technical skills to review and analyze large data sets efficiently, and to apply quantitative methodologies to the credit research process;

* Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of sector specific ESG and regulatory materiality issues;

* Have strong influencing, written and verbal communication skills;

* Be comfortable dealing with uncertainty and taking risk;

* Have the ability to set priorities and execute a research agenda;

* Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, while also communicating and interacting with a broader group of investment professionals:

* Demonstrate independence of thought, an entrepreneurial nature, and a global perspective.
