About the Risk Management Group
In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing enterprise critical data usages to capture Critical Data Elements, including:
- Understanding and documenting end-to-end data flows and system processes
- Identifying potential data risks and issues and assessing them against their mitigating controls
- Recognising opportunities for enhancements of processes and controls
A typical day will include:
- Managing key initiatives in meeting Enterprise Data Management framework implementation
- Critical Data Element identification (perform criticality assessment) and approval facilitation
- Business metadata definition and assessment through stakeholder workshops
- Data lineage mapping
- Data Risk and Control identification and assessment
- Data Profiling via Informatica Analyst (if required)
- End-to-End review of findings and recommendations if any
- Data governance advisory (e.g., best practice, data policy compliance)
- Identification of data gaps and recommendations for strategic remediation
What you'll need to succeed:
1+ year of experience in data governance or data management with exposure to the financial services, along with:
- Strong analytical and time management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good project management and stakeholder engagement skills and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Enterprise Data Management tooling, e.g. Collibra
- Data Visualisation - e.g. Power BI
- Data Profiling and Data Quality solutions, e.g., Informatica IDQ will be an added advantage.
- Data manipulation and preparation - e.g., Alteryx, SQL, or Python will be an added advantage.
