This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact transactions and lead a talented team of professionals.

Job Description:
My client is seeking an M&A Director (Year 1 or Year 2) with deep expertise in the FIG space, more specifically in the Insurance or Asset and Wealth Management space to lead and contribute to the success of their M&A efforts. As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of clients and driving their growth through meaningful activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sector Leadership: Serve as the FIG subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging opportunities.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the insurance, asset management, and wealth management sectors.
  • Deal Origination: Identify and source potential M&A opportunities within the FIG sector, both domestically and internationally.
  • Deal Execution: Oversee end-to-end M&A transaction processes, including due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and integration planning.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of M&A professionals, fostering collaboration and skill development.
  • Client Advisory: Provide strategic M&A advisory services to clients, guiding them through complex transactions and ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential targets, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all M&A activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with M&A transactions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in Insurance, Asset and Wealth Management -focused M&A, including a proven track record of successfully completed transactions.
  • Strong network within the Insurance, Asset and Wealth Management sector, including established relationships with industry players.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements within the Insurance, Asset and Wealth Management sector.
