Senior Investment Operations

Main Duties

Managing the operation of middle/back-office functions that support the organisation's listed investment activities including;

Proactively managing the listed trade settlement process including engagement with Custodians and Brokers;

Working in a fast-paced environment with daily interaction across multiple teams, including Listed Investments, Finance and Risk & Compliance;

Providing support for investment accounting, corporate action processing, reconciliations, and maintenance of Investment Book of Records.

Oversee and manage third-party services, evaluate service level agreements, assess risks, and implement solutions.

Drive automation of operational processes and reporting

Identifying, creating, documenting, and implementing improvements to middle/back-office policies, procedures, and practices with the aim of reducing risk and improving team efficiency

Supporting management to identify and manage operational risks.

Leading the oversight and monitoring of external service providers and ensuring agreed service levels

Essential Attributes

5 years plus experience in investments, funds accounting or custody role

Undergraduate qualification

Relevant professional qualification(s) (CFA/CIPM and/or CA or equivalent) advantageous

Preferably experience with Middle/Back Office and Settlements processes and knowledge of financial markets, instruments, corporate actions, and funds management
