Task Description:

As Trader in Trading Solutions, you support the successful implementation of scalable, efficient portfolio management strategies into investment portfolios on basis of standing instructions from portfolio management. This includes the monitoring of systematic order modelling from a central perspective, development of new patterns as well as pro-active shaping of our tech infrastructure. Trading Solutions' position, as hybrid between the portfolio management and execution desks, allows to combine the order implementation needs of our platform with data driven as well as analytical intelligence and transform such into solutions. To deliver the best coverage possible for DWS' portfolios in such a central role, vital exchange with external and internal parties, is a core success factor and applies to not only long-term, progressive development of the desk's offering but also during day-to-day coverage with quick turn-around times in fast moving financial markets.

Details :

• Support the systematic order modelling of financial instruments, such as FX spots/forwards, equities, bonds, ETFs, funds and futures across all client portfolios
• Contribute to the on-going development and maintenance of order creation / management applications to allow fast modelling of large sets of orders in a scalable way
• Conceive systematic exposure monitoring and position adjustments to allow seamless order implementation
• Continuously translate daily experiences into ideas and enhance the team's process as well as infrastructure for most efficient operations
• Liaising with stakeholders, i.e. settlements, fund administration and reconciliation, over the course of day-to-day processes with the continuous ambition to improve and streamline interactions

Required skillset:

• Good understanding of financial markets with a strong interest to apply statistical analysis and modelling
• Ability to work and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to build and manage relationships in- and outside of Trading
• Proactive and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on quantitative analysis and technology
• Ability to apply coding skills, mainly in Python, for data analytics and platform enhancement purposes

Als Trader Analyst im Bereich Trading Solutions unterstützen Sie die erfolgreiche Umsetzung skalierbarer, effizienter Portfoliomanagementstrategien für aktive und passive Portfolios auf Basis der Instruktionen des Portfoliomanagements. Dies umfasst die Überwachung der systematischen Order-Modellierung aus einer zentralen Perspektive, die Analyse bestehender Prozesse sowie die proaktive Weiterentwicklung unserer Tech-Infrastruktur. Der Trading Solutions Desk fungiert als zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen Portfoliomanagement und Execution Desk, dies ermöglicht es die Anforderungen unserer Plattform an die Order-Modellierung mit datengetriebenen und analytischen Ansätzen zu verwirklichen. Um die Anforderungen der DWS-Portfolios in einer so zentralen Rolle bestmöglich abzudecken, ist der stetige Austausch mit externen und internen Parteien ein zentraler Erfolgsfaktor, dies gilt nicht nur für die langfristige, progressive Weiterentwicklung des Desks, sondern auch im Tagesgeschäft mit kurzen Reaktionszeiten in volatilen Finanzmärkten.

• Unterstützung bei der systematische Order-Modellierung für Finanzinstrumente (u.a. FX-Spots/Forwards, Aktien, Anleihen, ETFs, Fonds und Futures) für alle Kundenportfolios
• Mithilfe bei der Weiterentwicklung und Pflege von Anwendungen zur Order-Modellierung/-Verwaltung, um eine schnelle und skalierbare Modellierung einer großen Anzahl von Orders zu ermöglichen
• Einarbeitung in die spezifischen Prozesse zum Überwachen und Anpassung von Orders, um eine reibungslose Portfolioimplementierung zu ermöglichen
• Kontinuierliche Umsetzung und Verbesserung der Teamprozesse sowie der Infrastruktur für möglichst effiziente Abläufe
• Abstimmung mit Stakeholdern im Tagesgeschäft, z. B. Settlement, Fondsverwaltung und Reconciliation, mit der Ambition die Prozesse zu verbessern

Skills und Fähigkeiten:

• Gutes Verständnis für Finanzmärkte und Instrumente, mit dem verbundenen Interesse statistischer Analysen und Modelle anzuwenden
• Fähigkeit, in einem schnelllebigen Umfeld zu arbeiten und unter Druck zu arbeiten
• Exzellente Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, um Beziehungen innerhalb und außerhalb des Handels aufzubauen und zu verwalten
• Proaktive Herangehensweise an Probleme mit einem Lösungsfokus auf quantitative Ansätze
• Programmierkenntnisse, insbesondere für Python (Datenanalysen und Plattformverbesserung)
