You will engage with both external clients and internal stakeholders, collaborating with the Front Office, Operations, Finance & Technology, and Compliance teams locally and globally.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members, the business, and various support and control functions to provide exceptional trade support.
- Investigate and resolve breaks, inquiries, and discrepancies effectively.
- Monitor the full life-cycle of equity assets, including Equity Corporate Actions, and orchestrate end-to-end operations to prevent settlement failures.
- Execute Middle Office controls for daily trading activities and regulatory compliance checks promptly and accurately.
- Swiftly escalate issues to Middle Office management when necessary.
- Work in tandem with regional counterparts to propose and implement streamlined processes with minimal touchpoints and maximum scalability.
- Enhance and refine existing processes and procedures continually.
- This role offers the opportunity to contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing client services, including implementing and supporting new regulations, driving automation and innovation, spearheading new business initiatives, and optimising systems to ensure a continuous standard of operational excellence.
- Proficiency in English (advanced to fluent level, equivalent to TOEIC 850) and fluency in spoken and written Japanese.
- Demonstrated experience in Middle Office or Operations roles, or an understanding with the willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Equity products.
- Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities, along with adaptability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Analytical Prowess: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research issues across various sources and develop effective solutions. Impeccable attention to detail and a quick grasp of systems, trade flows, and concepts.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel is advantageous.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding interpersonal abilities to foster relationships internally and externally, facilitating effective collaboration. Proficiency in leading and influencing individuals, even those outside your direct sphere. A talent for harmonious teamwork with diverse teams and individuals from various backgrounds and nationalities.
- Exceptional communication skills, encompassing verbal, written, and presentation abilities, enabling effective interaction with diverse global departments.
