Exciting opportunity in a truly unique role - Strategic Finance Solutions Senior Manager.

The firm:
Meraki Talent is working alongside one of the UK's most dynamic and rapidly growing chartered accountancy firms. Over the past five years, the firm has undergone remarkable expansion, establishing itself as a prominent player in the market.

Alongside the traditional core accounting services that they offer, they have a substantial Virtual Finance Solutions function within their business, growing this team to over 30 staff with no signs of slowing. This team specialises in providing outsourced financial services, acting as the virtual CFO to a diverse range of clients, including publicly listed companies, large private enterprises, and owner-managed businesses. This highly technical team plays a crucial role in ensuring clients' financial health and strategic decisions are on the right track.

The Role:
As a Senior Manager, you'll be at the forefront of strategic financial consulting. While the Virtual Finance Function (VFF) team takes care of the full finance function for clients, your role will be focused on addressing their most pressing technical and strategic challenges. You'll step in when clients are navigating major financial events such as listings, de-listings, and becoming AIM-listed, IFRS conversions, etc.

Your expertise will be instrumental in facilitating mergers, acquisitions, sales, buyouts, and more.

Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring all accounting processes are aligned, accurate, and ready to serve their intended purpose. Think of this role as a consultancy at a higher strategic level. You won't be preparing the accounts themselves but will instead evaluate them from a strategic standpoint, identifying areas where processes are lacking and recommending improvements. This role will also involve dealing with statistics, not in terms of preparation but in high-level reviews for purposes like IFRS conversions, process improvements, and control reviews.

While this work is non-recurring, it often leads to repeat business and opens up opportunities for high-level strategic advisory services.
This position is heavily project-based, providing an excellent opportunity for career progression in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for a proactive individual with a vibrant personality; stuffiness need not apply here. You should have the confidence to challenge both internal teams and clients when necessary, and the ability to speak up when it counts. This is not a role for shrinking violets.

You should be self-sufficient when it comes to managing your time and client interactions. Reach out proactively to clients regarding your workload and be equally proactive when seeking new opportunities during downtimes.
If you have a niche expertise or passion within a field, the firm is more than happy to explore it. You are encouraged to take the lead and shape your role to align with your strengths and interests. Building a portfolio within a specific sector is not only allowed but actively encouraged.

Ideally, you will come from a background within Audit at Senior Manager grade, Forensics, Restructuring, or Valuation background.

What's in it for you:
Dynamic Growth: Be part of a firm that's continuously expanding and making waves in the industry.

High-Impact Work: Tackle complex and high-profile projects, guiding clients through critical financial events.

Career Progression: A firm that values talent and dedication - opportunities for advancement.

Innovation and Independence: Contribute your unique insights and shape your role to fit your strengths.

Supportive Culture: Work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your voice matters.

If you're ready to take your career to new heights and make a real impact in a thriving firm, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now to arrange an informal chat with Dean Gorrie of Meraki Talent.
