The Opportunity:

We are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals who are keen to embrace growth and tackle the impending challenges in this fast-evolving industry. You should be passionate about approaching things differently, while operating like a fintech within a bank. We are not looking for superpowers - we are looking for knowledge, enthusiasm, and the right attitude to deliver our global initiative in a lean way.

We are building a new strategic digital business backed by a Global Bank, with the ambition to become the next-generation global fintech solution, supporting the needs of internationally minded customers around the world. With a global footprint, they serve more than 50 million customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services, enabling customers to manage their finances and protect and build their financial futures.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Lead to join our growth team in building and enhancing the growth engine of our fintech product. As the Product Lead for Growth, you will be responsible for driving acquisition loops and engagement loops that propel the growth of our product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data analytics, design, and marketing, to develop and execute growth strategies that accelerate user acquisition, drive engagement, and increase user retention. If you are a strategic thinker with a strong bias to action and passion for building, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

What you'll be doing:
  • Collaborate with the growth team and other key stakeholders to define and refine the growth engine for our product, focusing on developing acquisition and engagement loops to fuel user growth and retention
  • Conduct thorough analysis of user behaviour, market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product enhancements
  • Develop and implement scalable acquisition strategies, including referral programs, viral features, and partnership integrations to attract new users and enhance network effects
  • Design and implement engagement mechanisms, leveraging product features, notifications, personalized experiences, and gamification techniques to increase user engagement and overall product stickiness
  • Manage the release of new features and drive execution of the growth product roadmap
  • Lead data-driven experimentation and A/B testing initiatives to optimize acquisition loops, engagement loops and conversions funnels, utilizing techniques such as conversion rate optimization, user segmentation and funnel analysis
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives, track relevant metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and growth potential
  • Work closely with engineering, data analytics, design, and marketing teams to align growth initiatives with product development, marketing campaigns, and user experience improvements, ensuring seamless execution and a cohesive growth strategy
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in growth product, growth marketing and fintech, researching and applying innovative growth strategies to gain a competitive edge
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to foster a high-performance culture and drive impactful growth outcomes

What you'll need:
  • Proven track record and experience in product management, preferably in fintech, e-commerce or gaming industries
  • Deep understanding of growth hacking techniques, user acquisition strategies, conversion rate optimization, and retention strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience with product experimentation, A/B testing, and using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate growth strategies and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion
  • Passion for fintech, financial services, and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements
  • Scrappy get-it-done mindset to take products and features from 0 to 1
  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems
  • If you've got the passion and dedication to help us go the distance and looking for a career that will help you fulfil your potential - join us to make a global impact
You'll achieve more when you join HSBC.

We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development, flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment.
