Investment Manager (Fund Management Company, S$ 11k + Variable Bonus) (ID: 590219)

Responsibilities:

The client is looking for an investment professional to join the investment team and support the senior investment professionals in their main fund management responsibilities and tactical asset allocation.

• Assess whether the investment strategies of the external managers align with the funds' investment objectives, risk tolerance, and overall portfolio construction
• Source, evaluate and conduct in-depth research on external managers, including qualitative and quantitative analysis for both public and private investment managers
• Monitor performance and activities of external managers, including analysing sources of returns and drivers of performance
• Work closely with other members of the investment team to align the selection of external managers or funds with the overall investment strategy
• Stay informed about market trends, macroeconomic factors and industry developments that could impact financial investment performance, strategic asset allocation and the performance of external managers
• Conduct regular review of the fund's investment policy, asset allocation and recommend changes where necessary
• Partner with external counterparties and service providers to resolve operational issues
• Provide staff support to the Investment Committee

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of investment experience in investment management or fund management
• A good degree, preferably with relevant professional qualifications like CFA, CAIA
• Experience in sourcing, evaluating, recommending and monitoring external managers, either in the public or private markets
• Knowledge and understanding of asset classes and trends
• Outcome and results oriented, with strong analytical skills
• Experience in managing a significant portion of a fund's portfolio through external managers would be an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work well with internal colleagues, key stakeholders and external service providers
• A self starter with a desire to work in a team oriented environment
