EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Capstone Asset Management is looking for a leader with experience managing fixed income, private high income, and treasury pools to join their team as Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income.

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, you will have direct experience in providing in-depth fundamental analysis of both public and private debt investments across the credit universe, performing research and due diligence on investment opportunities both directly and through third party relationships, managing portfolio construction activities, and monitoring ongoing risks and portfolio performance to support informed investment decisions. You will also have a demonstrated ability to work with internal and external investment partners.

Capstone, headquartered in Langley, BC, is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income to be lead manager on Capstone’s three fixed income funds and to manage any other fixed income investments within other Capstone pools. Your experience in the credit markets with both public and private debt instruments will provide a platform to manage the fixed income investments at Capstone and provide leadership to the analysts involved in these investments. This experience will also extend to the Investment Committee where you will operate as a voting member. Currently, Capstone Fixed Income funds represent over $200MM of assets under management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 10 years of experience with private and public debt.

• Registered, or the ability to be registered, as a Portfolio Manager.

• CFA, MBA, or CIM designation is preferred.

• Experience managing a portfolio/fund of individual bonds.

• Demonstration of proven investment judgement and the ability to research and provide due diligence on third party investments.

• A team oriented, collaborative leader that can work within a growing organization.

• Experience with managing a team and effective mentorship skills.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

• Functional capability with financial analysis software including Excel and Refinitiv.

• Fully aligned with Capstone’s values.
