POSITION OVERVIEW:

RBCM is seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst with a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation to conduct fundamental, bottom-up research on dividend growth stocks for inclusion in the concentrated, low-turnover Raub Brock Dividend Growth Portfolio. The successful candidate will possess strong experience in equity research and financial modeling, coupled with excellent communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high performing team while contributing to our investment strategies.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies, focusing on financial statements, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and other relevant factors. Develop and maintain financial models to assess company valuations, earnings projections, and potential risks and returns. Monitor and track market developments, macroeconomic trends, and regulatory changes that could impact investment opportunities. Produce comprehensive equity research reports and recommendations that are clear, insightful, and aligned with our investment strategies. Develop unique insights and present research financial and investment recommendations to Portfolio Manager and Investment Policy Committee. Prepare monthly and quarterly Portfolio commentary and presentations, detailing Portfolio attribution, risk exposures and broader market trends. Contribute to the continuous improvement of research processes, methodologies, and tools. Travel for research and client meetings as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong academic credentials, including a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or related field required.  Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) is preferred. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required. At least 3 – 5 years of experience working as an analyst at a long-term, research-focused, investment organization (e.g. university endowment, investment consulting firm, mutual fund, insurance and/or public pension fund). Proven track record of generating accurate and actionable investment recommendations based on rigorous analysis. Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment strategies. Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, and FactSet. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to discuss and explain complex financial concepts, markets, and investment objectives as well as investment decisions with high conviction and clearly-articulated thoughts, while open to debate and feedback. Intellectually curious and able to work independently while working in a strong team environment that values consensus decisions. High degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail. Past exposure to multiple industry sectors preferred. US citizenship or authorization to work in the US on a permanent basis preferred.
