Manager, Credit/Loan Approval, Buyside [Good Bonus]

The Company

The Role

Process Management:

• Develop and implement standardized loan processes and procedures to streamline loan origination, underwriting, and closing activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment managers, legal teams, and risk analysts, to ensure efficient loan processing and adherence to established timelines.
• Monitor loan pipeline, track progress, and provide regular updates to senior management regarding the status of loan applications.

Approval:

• Manage the credit approval process, including preparing credit proposals, presenting findings to the credit committee, and obtaining necessary approvals.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements while making credit decisions.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review loan agreements, identify potential risks, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor approved credit limits and ensure ongoing compliance with approved terms and covenants.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare regular reports on loan portfolio performance, including delinquencies, defaults, and other credit-related metrics.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of loan transactions, credit approvals, and related correspondence.
• Collaborate with the risk management team to provide input for portfolio stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.

Your Profile

• Accounting and finance undergraduate/ postgraduate major;
• 3-5 years of professional experience in the financial industry, experience in Commercial Bank preferred;
• Proven experience in loan process management and credit analysis within a buy-side fund house, financial institution, or investment management firm.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies, loan structuring, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit metrics, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory developments in loan process management and credit approval.
